twist of lime tank dress

Here is a dress that is so simple to make...even if you are a beginner.  I started with a store-bought lime and gray striped tank top and cut it off at the waist.  I used that extra material to make the ruffle detail for the shoulder.  Then I took a piece of navy material to make a skirt and gathered it around the waistline until it was the same size as the tank.  I attached the top to the bottom and them hemmed the skirt.  That's all there is to it.The dress is nautical with a twist.  Still navy and stripes, but with a twist of lime.
